Driver's test: nervous!?

I'm totally stressing guys! I'm scheduled to take my drive test on October 16th at 3 PM. What can I do to stop stressing? I'm already shaking. I know I can pretend like the instructor isn't there... But I'll still be nervous. Can someone tell me something, so I won't be so nervous? Is passing the Nevada driver's test hard? And when changing lanes.. I signal, look back for a second, wait for an opening, and change lanes. Right? I'm still scared about changing lanes. I don't know why I'm stressing this much! Last, what are some common mistakes that are made during a drive test? I want to know so I don't make them.

I hope I get on the examiner's good side. I'll make sure to properly greet them. And make sure to ask how they are doing etc. Ugh! I'm so scared. HELP!!!Driver's test: nervous!?
If you haven't done enough hours of driving with a licensed driver, then chill out and practice BEFORE you go out on the road. If you are this nervous about taking your test and are still asking basic driving questions, then perhaps you should be warning all your neighbors that you will be out there and unprepared.

Get someone to take you to a huge, empty parking lot. Put the car in reverse and drive all around the lot backwards, then forwards then backwards etc. Practice parking, parallel parking and doing both forward and backward.

The biggest thing to remember is that YOU are driving the car. The car is NOT driving you. The more you know about it's handling (braking, turning, steering) the easier it will be for you to drive it.

And, sorry to say, there is no ';good side'; of a drivers test examiner. They are there to determine whether or not YOU are capable of driving safely with other human beings around. It is NOT a popularity contest and they have heard every weird line and angle imaginable.

Be focused. Be fully present mentally. No radio. Shut off your cell phone. No yakking. Pay attention. Stay alive and keep the people around you alive too. You are getting a legal document allowing you to operate a 2000 pound block of steel and flamable liquid inches away from other people who are pissed off, in a hurry and think they know everything.

Be ready. You're either ready or you are not. Are you? And you know what? Next year, it won't make a bit of difference whether you got your license in October or November. And in 20 years, you won't remember what season it was when you first drove solo.Driver's test: nervous!?
as long as you dont wreck youll pass, trust me
taking your drivers test is a scary and nerve wracking thing! try and go out and test drive before the test. if you have a parent that will take you around and have them ease your troubles in the places your struggling with. and changing lanes...you are doing what you are supposed to be doing! =)
wow.

deep breath.

i know how you feel. i took mine and almost threw up before it.

and after. ha!

but relax practice a lot. and you should do ok.

as long as you do your best.
The instructor talks you through everything most of the time. He will tell you to take certain turns and such. Just make sure not to run red lights and to stop COMPLETELY at stop signs. Oh..and don't wreck. You'll get your license in no time. Most people get theirs on the first try. I was with some girl that pulled out infront of someone (I suggest you not do this) and she still got her license.
Buckle up or you will fail on spot.

Know and use turn signals correctly.

STOP at stop signs and red lights.

Go the speed limit...not even a mile over.
I remember when I took my drivers test I was really nervous. Then my uncle told me not to worry. He said that if I did fail, that nobody is going to take away my birthday or hobby collection. He also said that, if I should fail , that I can always get another chance. I went to the driver's test with that attitude, and passed with flying colors the first time. Ah, well, the second time, anyway.
This may sound funny, but I had to take mine twice because the first time I psyched myself out so badly I went down a one way the wrong way.

(Small technical point, you can't just be going one way it also has to be the correct way!!) anyway ....

This is what worked for me. Take a deep breath and remember the instructor wants you to pass as much as you want to pass. He is there to help in any way he can. If you are already on the actual driving part then you passed the written, so you MUST know what you are doing. If you mess up there are always schools that can teach you to drive, so it is not the end of the world. Have a bottle of water, no caffeine (It can make you jumpy) and try to listen to calming music especially what ever type makes you feel good ... it actually will help.

Good Luck, I know it isn't easy, but you can do it !!
