I received a moving violation for accidentally going through an EZ pass lane.?

This was an accident, I made a mistake and the NY traffic made it impossible for me to change lanes. This power hungry NY transit cop gave me a citation; I can't believe how this guy is disrupting my life. I guess this carries 2 points?? I live in Connecticut and driving to Manhattan to fight this will be extremely difficult with my busy schedule. Does anyone know of any websites or phone numbers where I can circumvent this nonsense? When I call the court I get automated messages telling me I must appear in person. This whole thing is crazy but I guess I need to deal with this - I am willing to pay a fine but I don't want or derserve these points. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.I received a moving violation for accidentally going through an EZ pass lane.?

Booo f-ing hoo.

You broke the law, got a ticket, and now you want to whine about the inconvenience it's giving you?

What high horse did you grow up on? Whoever you are, and whatever you do, IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE LAW. Your schedule is NOT MORE IMPORTANT than court.

Grow up. Drive up, pay the ticket, get the points that you deserve.I received a moving violation for accidentally going through an EZ pass lane.?
Funny, I didn't shoot you an email.

Secondly, thanks for the ten points!!! :P

Everyone wants the easy way out, even if they break the law.

No, there is no way to circumvent this, or anything else. If you don't think you deserve the points, show up in court and tell it to the judge. IF you are lucky the cop will not show and they'll throw it out or reduce the fine or points. Wouldn't hold my breath but miracles do happen.

Guess your schedule just got busier.
I no here in canada you can go to the justice of the peace and go in front of a judge ask for the point to be removed. I don't think there is a website to go to my in ny there maybe sorry I could be any more help
wait till you also get the bill from ez pass, they took the picture when you went through.

doctors LAWYERS and indian chiefs.

good luck

Accident or not, you still went through it.

It's not nonsense. You weren't supposed to be in the lane. You were. You get a ticket.

That's the way it goes.

Disrupting YOUR life, you say? How about the fact that he has to deal with an arrogant driver, and issue you the ticket in the first place? I'm sure there's other things he'd rather do, also.

And considering the amount of signs that tell you it's an ez pass lane, saying you didn't notice it, is ridiculous.

I've driven through NY, you don't just get ambushed by the lanes. There is plenty of warning, and opportunity to avoid them. And if you're a resident, you should be plenty aware of where they are.
On your summons, there is a court date, go to court and plead ';not guilty.'; Explain to the judge that you accidentally were in the lane because you were blocked and couldn't change lanes, and you don't think you deserve the 2 points. I've seen them waive the points and sometimes the fines as well.

Go dressed in a suit and tie, and don't cop any attitudes when you're talking to them. Make it look like your nice %26amp; spiffy and know what you're talking about. But, watch what you say, don't complain, and don't cop an attitude or they'll stick it up your @ss.

This has worked for me on a few occasions.
