How do I contest a wrongful turn traffic ticket?

There were 2 additional cars in front of me in the lane where we were making a left. When the green arrow came on, we all turned exept the car in front of me made a much sharper turn, indended to go in to the left lane, ended up cutting through it, went into the center lane %26amp; cut right away into the far right lane. But,my turn was much wider %26amp; I went straight into the center lane, placed my blinker %26amp; changed into the right. Immediately the cop on the side of the road stopped both of us but the cop let the car in front of me go and stopped me only %26amp; gave me a ticket. The cop told me the reason why he didn't stop the other car was because it SEEMED that she was going to go straight into the left lane but changed lanes right after %26amp; wasn't very sure if she had made a violation, however he stopped me because my turn was much wider %26amp; claimed I went all the way to the right. My question is, would I be able to contest the ticket? Is it possible to show that the cop made a mistake or assumption? How do I contest a wrongful turn traffic ticket?
No its not worth it, suck it up and take your ticket. That someone else did something wrong is not an excuse for you. I was going to court once to protest a ticket because everyone else was speeding too but thank God I was not the first case so I got to listen to how stupid this inability to admit fault sounds in real life. There, someone asked the Judge to ask the officer why he did not stop the other cars and give them tickets and the judge said do you want me to do that. Yes, its my right some idiot said. And the judge asked the police to fess up to his incompetence and the cops just said he can only stop one car at a time even if more are breaking the law. I realized how stupid the whinning sounded. Pleaded guilty, paid my fine, thanked everyone and walked out without making for whiny fool out of myself. How do I contest a wrongful turn traffic ticket?
You have to go to court and protest it. Many times the officer doesn't show and they will dismiss the ticket.
Both kevin and tom have points you can go in and plead not gulity it will likely be set for trail on another day that means instead of one day of missed work itll be two , most of the time the police officer WILL show up due to the fact if they dont internal affairs will bring them in to answer to why they werent in court and police officers are on overtime when they come to court and that in some areas is double the usual salary and who wouldnt show up for double your hourly rate for a min ium of 4 hours
SHOW UP IN COURT , TRY AND DRAW A MAP AND DESCRIBE THINGS, BRING ANY WITNESSES
IF you are not from another state, you have a very good chance in having it cleared or dropped before the court date. Keep a good attitude about you. That is right, the policeman may not show. You would then get off. The same is true if they cannot show proof of you speeding.
You are always able to contest a Traffic ticket and I highly recommend you do because you maybe facing demerit points if you don't. You can check http://www.trafficticketsolutions.ca/demeritpoints.php to determine how many demerit points you face if convicted depending on your exact charge. Next thing I suggest you do is order the officers Discloser. This is the officers’ notes they took on the ticket. Then I suggest you read up on the specific charge in the traffic act and see if there are any discrepancies between the two. Officers don't spend a great deal of time learning the traffic act and are often mistaken on what the law really says! IE the “3 second rule” at a stop sign. The law actually states that you must stop, but doesn't say anything about how long. This is one of many ways you can trip up officers in court and win your case! Good luck!
