How do you drive on freeway?

I have only 6hours of driving experience.

I think I'm fast learner and I think my driving is pretty much defensive.

Because my church is far away, i have to use freeway to get there from my home.

I don't have my license yet, i have only provisional instruction permit. (turning 17 years old this november).

My instructor says it is illegal to drive on freeway when you have provisional permit, but i don't believe him

Is it true that you can't drive on freeway if you got permit?

and if I can drive on freeway, how do you merge into traffic on the freeway and change lanes?How do you drive on freeway?

if you go slow don't get in the left lane you will get ran over buy the people that go fast oh and don't talk on the phone when you are in the left lane!~!~!~!~!~!~
drive in early mornings and late afternoons to practice.. but keep with the flo of traffic and merge when there is room to do so... stay on teh defensive, but make sure you practice alot!!!

If you don't believe your teacher call the state patrol. sometimes you have to take the freeway and i think busy streets are far worse for a young driver. too many things to look out for. anyhow... merge at freeway speed. watch the lane changes cause thats were you're gonna get into trouble. You'll have to once in awhile. check your mirrors and LOOK before you pull out of your lane. Do you have someone who will go with you a time or two? that would be nice.
If your instructor says it's illegal for you to drive on the freeway, believe it! Teaching you the skills needed for merging and changing lanes on the freeway is the instructor's job, when it is legal for him to do so, and when he judges you are ready to learn.

Until then, demonstrate what a fast learner you are, by getting out a map, and figuring how to get where you need to go, without getting on a freeway.
REALLY FAST! That's what I say, its only illegal if you get caught! How you gonna learn if you don't do it! Just don't think about the beginning of Final Destination 2 while you're doing it!
