What are some ideas for things we can all do to make our daily commutes more pleasant?

How about this: When somebody signals that they want to change lanes, instead of speeding up so that they can't merge into your lane, you just stay the same speed OR (God forbid) you UNSELFISHLY slow down so they can merge.... I dunno I think I'm asking too much.

More ideas. What are some ideas for things we can all do to make our daily commutes more pleasant?
i like where you're going with this....and how about if you leave home with enough time to get where you're going with out being an ****** every minute you're on the road....and hey, how about shaving or putting your makeup on BEFORE you get in the car? and get off my bumper coz i can only go as fast as the guy in front of me is going.....i don't think i'm asking too much....What are some ideas for things we can all do to make our daily commutes more pleasant?
I like to listen to party music and wave to everyone that drives by me
a beer tap at the ramp meter would be nice
take a handful of sedatives before leaving the house. lol
how about people not tailgating on the freeway when everyone is going 25 mph?? Or why doesn't everyone put their cell phones down and concentrate on the road?
curbside dancing...at red lights and stopped traffic....strippers
How about

a) Quit Your Job

b) Work in Alaska as a dog sleder

c) Become Bill Gates and have a private plane take you everywhere including the bathroom

d) become a hermet and never leave your cave
I like it when people honk if they're horny...there's a lot of them out there, too
roll a doober and crank up the tunes
Interesting to see a traffic Q (which may make me very weird) I lived before in Atlanta, a fantastic city with an unbearable traffic problem. During my sometimes 2 hour commute I would alternately speed up or slow down. But during a recent big life change (non-traffic related) , I moved to Asia. I walk, or ride the bus everywhere, look at the things around me and talk to a lot of really interesting folks. I don't own a car. I'm also a much happier person.

So, there is my answer in short. :)
I would say the best thing to do is to move to the country so you ain't got to worry with traffic.
jimbo a serious question...i'm almost in shock!
