I will be having my drivers license test in California at the DMV

and was wondering whats the order you do a correct lane change

is it

-signal

-look behind your shoulders

-look at mirror

-then change

or how

thanks alotWhats the correct way to do a lane change when driving?
thats how i do it. but what it seems everyone does is: change lanes whild cutting you off then slam on brake, and get all pissy when you rear end them.Whats the correct way to do a lane change when driving?
all above
Check mirrors, signal, look over shoulder, then change.
if i am not mistaken, you look in the mirror before you signal, then signal, look behind, then change. check the book.
We were taught,

signal

look in review mirror

look in side mirror

check your blind spot (look over shoulder)

then change lanes.

I don't think though that the order necessarily matters just as long as you do all of them.
mirror, mirror, blind spot ALWAYS. Thats what my driver instructor told me when I was 16, now 20. And I still remember it.
What she said :)
Sounds right to me. Most drivers, after they pass their test, forget how to use turn signals. Make sure you give signal at least 10 second before changing lanes. Good luck.
Signal,mirror,over the shoulder,change
I would check the mirrors first, then signal, then check behind your shoulders (blind spot), then change lanes.
check mirrors

Look over shoulder to blind spot

signal

look again over shoulder

move over but not in an abrupt fashion

turn of signal
Hey am gonna tell you how we do it here in india...... **** the mirrors and the indicator just change lanes weave through traffic cut lanes do anything you want and you still dont crash.....Damn we guys are good!!

we drive bumper to bumper here at over 80 mph and still you'll find drivers trying funny stunts on the freeway..... and if anyone dare overtake you.... you start racing like a drunk reckless retard.....

Ok now the answer to ur question...... look in the orvm then the rvm then signal wait around 10 seconds then change lanes.....Simple??/
