How do you SAFELY change lanes on the highway?!!!!!?

What is the proper procedure to change lanes on the high

way, cause i almost ran this person off the road and that was

so freakin scary!!!!How do you SAFELY change lanes on the highway?!!!!!?
before you change lanes you check the mirrors, both the outside on the door and the rear view inside, you apply to turn signals and then proceed to pass. after you pass the vehicle you check the mirrors to see that you cleared the vehicles and then once again apply you turn signals and get back into the right hand lane. most if not accident can be prevented if people will ';clear to the rear'; look before you act. If you ';clear to the rear'; you will never again cut someone off, and with all this road rage stuff. it could be dangerous. A woman around here was just killed because someone cut off off and she swerved and lost controlHow do you SAFELY change lanes on the highway?!!!!!?
To change lanes:

Look and make sure the space you want to occupy is clear. Use your indicator light to signal your intention. Look again before moving over. Move over slowly. Turn off your indicator when your move is complete.

To pass, see previous answerer.
Please follow these steps:

1.Go in a constant speed.

2.Keep you leg lightly on brakes.

3.View on the mirror. To See Vehicles Behind.

4.Turn you steering slowely and move on if you get space.

5.Never Hurry. If you cant do it leave driving coz life is precious.
When you change lanes, you need to stay away from the left, unless you have a far distance to go, and keep right if you're going to exit. When you change lanes, signal, look at your blind side wherever your car is going to maneuver to (behind you or the side of your car), then look forward to see if you have enough space. Then you look into your mirror to check for cars upcoming on your side and if there are none, just make sure you have enough room. After that, your ready to go and change lanes. Good luck.
