How do I change lanes?

Suppose I want to change into the left lane. I check the rear mirror, side mirrors, turn my body so I can see my left blind spot, signal, check again then turn. But should I also turn my body to check the right blind spot? How do I change lanes?
wtf. just put your signal on and check the side mirrors. then move before you get on anyone's nerves. How do I change lanes?
Make sure you see BOTH headlights of the car behind you as you change lanes. It makes sense when you are in the car.

Adjust your mirror so you can see clearly what's behind you.

When possible, actually turn around to see the cars on the other side.

Also, be sure to put on your signal LONG before you begin to change lanes.

if a car is in your blind spot as you change lanes carefully, they will honk if you gave them enough time with your signal on. If the car honks, do not overreact, just go carefully back to your lane until they go by, and then continue your lane changing.

Good luck! It sounds like you are going to be a terrific driver since you are seeking information.
if you want to the move to the left lane, the just check your left side mirror, rear mirror, and blind spot. no need to check the right blind spot. most importantly, and this happens in the freeway sometimes, you have to make sure no one is going to the same lane you are.
u could check your right side as you move over so that the impatient people dont run you over.

glad to see you use your signal most people dont but i would turn it on before i start checking to see if i can get over that way people know what you are planning

ignor the bad comments that people will be leaving just tells you how they drive
no , but i like 2 double check anyway , when in doubt check again, the persons driving on the right lane are obviously going straight on
Yes, you kinda have the idea, but you do not have to check the direction you're not going to change to. You don't have to turn to see your blind spot, but rather make sure you know how to check around it.

Most important? As you drive, pay attention to all the cars in your vicinity. Use your mirrors constantly so you know what is around you. Then you'll know where you can change to and when. A quick glance over your shoulder and in your mirror will tell you if it's safe.
